Approved Contractor Status (ACS)

Saying that the year has flown by is an understatement. It seems like it was only yesterday that we were preparing for our first ACS assessment. For those of you who are not familiar with ACS, it is a voluntary assessment which is managed by the Security Industry Authority.  Companies are assessed against seven different criteria such as: 

  • Strategy
  • Service Delivery
  • Commercial Relationship Management
  • Financial Management
  • Resource Management 
  • People 
  • Leadership

On completion, it provides a holistic view of how a business meets the needs of all of its stakeholders and manages the business as a whole. ACS companies are expected to work to the British Standard Codes of Practice whenever they are appropriate to their activities.  

Undergoing an ACS assessment is not something we have to do, it is something we choose to do.

We believe that it helps to strengthen our commitment to quality and ongoing improvement. Even though it is a bit of a nerve-racking experience, it is worth the time, effort as we believe it demonstrates our commitment to adhering to industry standards.
